MOULTON, Ala. (AP) — Authorities in north Alabama have charged a Florida man in a killing that occurred nearly eight years ago. Police say 59-year-old Garry Ray Lindsey was arrested Thursday at his home in Milton, Fla. He's charged with murder in the shooting death of Roy Oliver at his home in Moulton, Ala., in February 2006.

(AP) — The family of the alleged victim in a sexual assault case involving Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston says she did not consent to sex with Winston, that the player raped her. The family released a statement Friday in response to a suggestion by Winston attorney Timothy Jansen earlier in the week that the alleged victim may have had consensual sex with Winston.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida's Division of Emergency Management is warning swimmers about a high risk of rip currents along the state's Atlantic coast through Tuesday. A meteorologist with the agency says persistent onshore winds and high waves are raising the risk of rip currents.
