WHAT IS CAREFEST? CareFest is a city wide community service day. CareFest unites churches, businesses, organizations and cities with the purpose of demonstrating love and caring in practical ways. We believe that those with a heart to serve are a gift to every community and as we serve our communities together, in love, we fulfill our duty as that gift. During this week we work with area churches and ministries to demonstrate caring through practical acts of kindness such as passing out bags of food, delivering care packages, and giving care coupons to friends, neighbors and family members. At the end of the day the volunteers and the people who have been helped gather to recognize and celebrate their accomplishments. Free food and drinks are provided for all involved. In addition, each year a "Care Cup" trophy is awarded to the location with the largest number of volunteers. These celebrations also provide very important opportunities for people and businesses to network and connect with people in need and the general community. Approximately 5,000 volunteers and over 100 partners from area churches, businesses and other non-profit ministries are involved in CareFest on an annual basis. Each participating City has a meeting place and a Celebration after the projects completion are held at various locations as well.
